HAOFA TIMEPIECE USE GUIDELINES —— Chronograph Watch

Chronograph Watch Usage Guidelines

Thank you for choosing a HAOFA Chronograph Watch. Please follow these guidelines to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of your timepiece:

  1. Winding the Watch: Your chronograph watch features a mechanical movement. Wind the crown gently until you feel resistance. Over-winding may damage the movement. It is recommended to wind the watch daily at the same time to maintain consistent power.
  2. Using the Chronograph: The chronograph function is controlled by two buttons:
    • The top button (at 2 o’clock) starts and stops the chronograph.
    • The bottom button (at 4 o’clock) resets the chronograph to zero. Always stop the chronograph before resetting to avoid damaging the movement.
  3. Chronograph Activation: Avoid frequent or continuous use of the chronograph function. Prolonged operation or frequent activation can cause unnecessary wear on the movement, potentially affecting the watch's accuracy and longevity.
  4. Crown Operation (for Models 2366 and 2366-1): The crown on these models is screw-down. To wind or set the time:
    • First, unscrew the crown by turning it counterclockwise until it pops out.
    • To wind the watch, turn the crown clockwise.
    • To set the time, pull the crown out to the next position and rotate it to adjust the time.
    • After setting, push the crown back to the first position and screw it in clockwise, applying gentle inward pressure to secure it. After completing this, please check if the crown is fully reset. If the crown is not completely reset, it will not provide proper water resistance. Ensure the crown is properly reset before use.
  5. Handling Precautions: The movement of your watch is highly precise and sensitive. Avoid dropping or subjecting the watch to shocks, as this can disrupt the alignment of internal components, especially during chronograph operation.
  6. Magnetic Fields: Keep your watch away from strong magnetic sources, such as speakers and electronic devices, as these can affect the movement's accuracy.
  7. Chronograph Rest Position: When not in use, ensure the chronograph hands are reset to the 12 o’clock position. Leaving the chronograph running can strain the movement and reduce its lifespan.
  8. Water Resistance: While this watch is designed for everyday wear, it is not intended for swimming or exposure to high humidity. Do not perform time-setting, winding, or chronograph operations while the watch is in water, as this may cause water to enter the case and damage the movement.
  9. Maintenance: Regularly clean the watch case and metal band with a soft cloth. Avoid contact with chemicals and solvents that may damage the watch’s finish.

By following these precautions, you will ensure the reliable performance of your HAOFA Chronograph Watch. If you have any further questions, please contact us for support.
